More than Lessons – Clubs and Workshops at Net School

At Net School, learning doesn’t stop with lessons and assignments. We believe that school life should be creative, social, and supportive – and our clubs and workshops are a big part of making that happen.

For students who love to express themselves, our Art Club is a welcoming space to explore creativity, try new techniques, and share ideas with others. So far this term, our group has explored new techniques with watercolour paints, we’ve tried drawing trees in different styles and have enjoyed a student-led session on scraffito. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just enjoy doodling for fun, the club is all about experimenting, building confidence, and enjoying the process of making art together.

Our Social Club brings students together in a relaxed, friendly setting. It’s a chance to chat, connect, and take part in fun discussions, quizzes and puzzles that help build friendships across year groups. In an online environment, these moments of connection matter – and the Social Club, led by Ms Danielle Earl, is all about making school feel like a community, not just a screen.

Wellbeing is just as important as academics, which is why we also been delighted to again offer a six-week course of Yoga Classes this term. These sessions are led by an experienced yoga teacher (and Net School parent), Caroline O’Driscoll, and give students time to slow down, stretch, and reset – especially important for teens whose lives can become incredibly busy and stressful. Yoga can help with managing stress, providing a calm balance to busy school days and study schedules.

Alongside enrichment and wellbeing, we support students academically through our Revision Skills and Exam Prep Workshops. These practical sessions led by our Head of Maths and Science, Dr Ellie Nalson, focus on how to revise effectively, manage time, and approach exams with confidence. Students learn techniques they can use across subjects, helping them feel more organised and in control of their learning.

Together, these clubs and workshops help create a well-rounded school experience – one that supports creativity, connection, wellbeing, and academic success. We encourage all students to get involved, try something new, and make the most of everything our school community has to offer.
